The Smith & Wesson M&P Sport II OR is an optic ready, no frills, modern sporting rifle chambered in 5.56NATO/223REM featuring Smith & Wesson quality and reliability. Upper and lower receivers are made from 7075 T6 aluminum. The M&P Sport has a chromed firing pin, gas key, and bolt carrier for increased resistance to wear and ease of cleaning. Smith & Wesson uses an Armornite® Finish on the interior and exterior of the barrel to provide enhanced corrosion and wear resistance. This rugged AR15 uses a gas block with a QD sling swivel attachment point on the bottom and integral Picatinny rail to mount a front sight or accessories on top.
