The Ruger American Compact chambered in 9mm is a double stack striker fired pistol suitable for concealed carry or home defense. Ruger achieves this versatility with the inclusion of both a 12 round & 17 round magazine with grip extension and an accessory rail for your choice of light or laser. The American Compact is designed to fit your hand with a fully ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release combined with a modular wrap around grip system. The Ruger American uses a pre-tensioned striker system to achieve a firm primer strike without a heavy trigger pull and a barrel cam reduces felt recoil for comfortable, reliable operation. A fast clear sigh picture is achieved using Novak Lo-Mount Carry three dot sights. The Ruger American Compact is +P rated.
